iGate Global Solutions Ltd., Bangalore, India is a subsidiary of iGate Corporation, USA. They provide software solutions and BPO services to customers all over the world. I was involved in setting up the IT infrastructure, documentation, and procedure manual and starting the iGate Global IT Helpdesk to provide Level 0/Level 1/Level 2 remote Support to global employees of iGate group companies along with a team of 10 persons. My team consisted of 4 members while the Level 0 team had 6 members. I worked in a team at the iGate Global IT Helpdesk to provide Level 1/Level 2 Remote Support to global employees of iGate group companies. We worked round the clock to troubleshoot and manage user computers, laptops as well as routine tasks on servers at world-wide locations to maintain optimum operation levels. We work using remote administration tools like DSView, Dameware and VNC. NetIQ was used at the alerting tool to inform us about problems. We also did hands-on support for computers/servers in Bangalore offices and coordinate with our vendors around the world to maintain high level of service. I had been training users to use our new Helpdesk application after working on putting the process in place and then documenting it. I was also managing the entire Shift Roster in addition to my regular tasks.
